Capitol Offense will be playing two sets this weekend at the Iowa Straw Poll. The Roadies are getting the gear ready and we’ll be there to rock the voters. Come on out Saturday and see Mike Huckabee and Capitol Offense at Hilton Coliseum on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Here’s a picture from the band’s trip to New Hampshire last month.

Gov. Mike Huckabee and Capitol Offense had a great time last night in Dover, NH. By the time “Joy to the World” and “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” rolled around, several NH supporters were dancing in the grass in front of the stage. When the band started into the final tune, “Twist and Shout” most of the rest of the crowd joined in.
The Roadies are up and ready for action. Thank goodness for the tarps yesterday afternoon. Got the FOH set up and the bottom poured out of the clouds. But the weather cleared up and the show went on. Heading out in a few minutes to set up for the Operation American Rising show at noon in Nashua, followed by the fundraiser at 4:30 in Concord. We’ll have a busy day, but it will be fun.
Will post again tonite after the fun is over.

Sometimes The Roadies don’t get to read Sunday’s newspapers on Sunday, but we got a tip from a fellow blogger today. Check out this great article from yesterday’s New York Times. Do we see a ”Battle of the Bands” on the horizon? ”Capitol Offense” has been known to do “Brown Eyed Girl” and Teri owns “Mustang Sally.” No “Black Dog,” but wait ’til you see Gordon play ”Free Bird” — with his teeth!
